It's really glad to receive Romar's reply soon. I pasted it below. To know the anwser? Just go on~
Dear Chen Si,
Delighted to hear from you! I still fondly recall my visit to China made do memorable by your overwhelming hospitality.
I am afraid that the opposite of what your Chinese journalist has written is true: India is anything but a heaven for the poor. To answer your questions briefly:
Indians do not have the right to free medical care. Indeed, medical attention is concentrated in the cities and among the
relatively affluent.
Land distribution is skewed and all governments have stopped short of radical land reform. You should be proud of your
Chinese heritage in this regard.
It is true that widespread discontent by landless farmers is not to be found. Impoverished farmers simply kill themselves!
Indeed, the spread of liberalisation worldwide, as you must know, has hastened the demise of trade unionism.
To some extent, this is true. Higher education is relatively cheap. However, basic education is unavailable in rural India.
Elections in India, both at the Centre and the States, do throw up surprises so no party can afford to be complacent. It turns out that the Indian voter is savvy and can see through populist promises.
I recall your plans to visit Mumbai, the financial capital of the country. If ever I can be of help, please feel free to ask.
Sincerely,
Romar
P.S. According to our letters, it seems that never easily trust what journalists said! Fake news is often revealed in China recently, so we have to get more information to make sure something. Now, you can find that India is not a heaven for the poor, and it's quite like China in many aspects. Stop the unreasonable insulting and treat all these rationally. What we need is wisdom, not nonsense.
